Welcome,

Your privacy matters to us at Industrial Hygiene & Catering Equipment Ltd (ihce.ie). This is a clear and concise summary of how we use the data supplied by you, in relation to enquiries, purchases, and ways you subscribe to our service(s).

What information do we collect?

We collect names, addresses, post codes and phone numbers. We only collect the relevant information you supply on contact forms on our website or when you email us or contact us requesting to be included in our marketing/sales promotions or complete entry into competitions or offers from us.

When you place an order with us we collect details including, name, business details, address, phone, email and other contact details that you supply together with details of any order placed with us by you. This information is used for the purpose of fulfilling any order(s) placed by you and communication with you in connection with your account with us.

This information may also be used to communicate with you about events, or to communicate with you about polls or surveys we undertake as well as our own marketing purposes. We may forward you informaiton to a relevant third party only when necessary e.g. Courier company where appropriate to facilitate providing this product or service to you. These third parties are not permitted to share this information for any other purpose.

We also use this information to contact you via email or marketing promotions by letter, by email or online. You may choose to unsubscribe to our marketing services by emailing unsubscribe to patrick@ihce.ie quoting the email address where you received the marketing information. We commit to discontinue sending you marketing and sales promotional information on receipt of your unsubscribe notice. We may still email you in relation to your account but only when necessary.

We however, do retain your details for accounting and transaction of business with you.
We retain your information for between 6 and 7 years in compliance with Irish Law and Revenue compliance. Should you not have had a business transaction with us after this period we will remove your contact details except in the case where you have not chosen to unsubscribe. If you have not unsubscribed we will continue to retain your information on our systems until you request to unsubscribe or when we decide to update our contact lists.
Once information is no longer required for the above reasons, we remove your personal and/or business details from our database.

We do not process financial transactions online -all such transactions happen between you and third party payment services such as Paypal.

What legal basis do we have for processing your personal data?

We process your information with your consent under the following GDPR legal grounds: consent, contract, public task and legal obligation.
Consent can be withdrawn by you at any time by contacting our data controller, or to be removed from emailing lists email patrick@ihce.ie

When do we share personal data?

Your data is only available to authorised and relevant staff and our legitimate third party suppliers (curriers etc), who will treat your personal data in the same manner as outlined in this document.
Otherwise we will only disclose your personal data under Irish and EU legislation as required by law.

All forms and orders you place on our website are done on encrypted forms, to protect both your and our privacy.

Where do we store and process personal data?

Your data is stored on servers within the EU unless otherwise specified by you and done so in accordance with this privacy policy. Should visitors access your website from outside the EU – then the relevant laws and obligations of the EU may not apply to them. This privacy policy requires all persons subscribing or purchasing from this website to accept the terms of the privacy policy. We cannot provide for in regard to rules outside of the EU.

How do we secure personal data?

All data entry on the website is secured through https encryption. Our Hosting Service has a high level of hacking security together with our web developers placing a range of security plugins to protect against unauthorised access to personal information.
All authorised staff are trained to safely log in and out of the website management area and all authorised staff are trained in respecting client’s privacy. We conduct bi-annual security reviews with our website service provider.

How long do we keep your personal data for?

GDPR requires us to retain data for no longer than reasonably necessary. When you place an order on our website, we gather your personal information and order details. For regulatory reasons we keep this data for between 6 and 7 years (or longer in case of dispute or legal issue). After you are no longer contracted with us and the regulatory amount of time has elapsed, we delete your order details. If you remain subscribed to our marketing/sales information contact systems, we continue to keep your personal data until such time as you unsubscribe by emailing patrick@ihce.ie or if you contact our data controller requesting to have your personal details removed. Online data is removed from our server and system. Printed data is securely destroyed.

Your rights in relation to personal data

Under the GDPR, we respect the right of data subjects to access and control their personal data. We respect your rights to access your personal information , correction and deletion / withdrawal of consent (if processing data on condition of consent), data portability, restriction of processing. You can contact our data controller patrick@ihce.ie if you would like us to implement any of the above. Once we have satisfied ourselves with the authenticity of the request, we will not unreasonably refuse any such request. Please note that outside of this you are free to raise a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office.
We will not delete data on request if in breach of the laws of Ireland or the EU or breaches of regulatory requirements. In such an event we will explain the reasons why, If for any reason your request exposes a third parties personal information, this information will not be included in the data provided to you by us.
